In a unexpected collaboration that challenges usual forecasts, Ubisoft has announced an digital crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, including complimentary extra story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Mission Revealed

According to the authorized statement, "A strange encounter leads protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a original quest, where hints of prohibited practices and monstrous metamorphoses reverberate through the darkness." The storyline presents a "unusually attired woman named Ada" who tasks the pair with venturing into the Crystal Cave—a key location from Attack on Titan—to save her companion from a clandestine sect.

The mission concentrates on "strange experiments and a fearsome adversary" and is open to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Iconic Places and Metamorphoses

The preview highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was earlier where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser concludes with a powerful moment showing a character, presumably the captive, morphing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Exclusive Rewards and Additional Content

Players who accomplish the mission will receive an unique katana together with multiple artifacts concealed throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also contains in-store Attack on Titan item packs, offering:

Newest Free Story Content

This patch also brings the game's latest free story addition, titled "The Enigma."
